AMP1 Mercury Edition - Expert Features
STARTUP MODES
HALF POWER MODE
Press and hold the left footswitch while you switch your AMP1 Mercury Edition on: The output power is reduced to 50W, which enables you to play a 60W cabinet at full NANOTUBE saturation. To get back to Full Power Mode, you need to perform a factory reset.
LOW GAIN MODE
Press and hold the middle footswitch [BOOST] while you switch your AMP1 Mercury Edition on: The gain is reduced on all channels to get authentic sounds similar to using the "low" input on vintage amps. To get back to Full Gain Mode, you need to perform a factory reset.
PRESET MODE
Press and hold the right footswitch [REVERB] while you switch your AMP1 Mercury Edition on: The Preset Mode stores your settings of CHANNEL, BOOST, REVERB and FX-LOOP to your AMP1 Mercury Edition's three internal footswitches. For programming and recalling presets, please consult the AMP1 Mercury Edition manual, page 91. To get back to Standard Mode, switch the AMP1 Mercury Edition off, and hold the right footswitch while you switch the amp back on.
SWITCHING THE FX LOOP ON/OFF
While you are in Standard Mode, press and hold the middle footswitch [BOOST] for at least 3 seconds and then keep it pressed. Then toggle with the right footswitch [REVERB] between FX-LOOP on/off. Use this feature for programming presets by choosing FX-LOOP on/off for each preset.
SWITCHING THE FX LOOP ON/OFF VIA MIDI
In a midi setup when using the MIDI1 adapter, FX-LOOP on/off can be set with CC40. In case your midi setup cannot send control changes you need to unplug your MIDI1 adapter, press and hold the middle footswitch [BOOST] for 3 seconds, and then choose FX-LOOP on/off using the right footswitch. After that, plug your MIDI1 adapter in and save your preset.
INDIVIDUAL CHANNEL GAIN
For individual maximum gain adjustment on each channel, connect the REMOTE1 to AMP1 Mercury Edition. Select your channel on REMOTE1 and set the gain as usual by holding BOOST on the REMOTE1 (blinking) and set the desired value with the knob on the REMOTE1. Store the channel's gain by holding the middle footswitch [BOOST] on the AMP1 Mercury Edition for 3 seconds and then press the right footswitch.
