Guitar virtuosos Thomas Blug and Ben Granfelt, united by a decades-long friendship that began at the Frankfurt Music Fair in the late '90s, have a history of remarkable musical collaborations. Thomas even made a guest appearance on Ben’s 2012 solo album, Melodic Relief. In 2019, the duo joined forces on a tour with Martin Engelien’s GO MUSIC project, a collaboration that was met with enthusiastic acclaim. Now, their unique partnership enters a thrilling new phase.

The highlight of their creative synergy from this exceptional experience is captured in a joint album titled STRAT-O-SPHERE, showcasing not only impressive mastery of the guitar but also their gift for crafting harmonious jam sessions and great songs. The album release is set for November 8, 2024, just in time for their upcoming tour of 16 concerts.

Ben Granfelt, renowned for an impressive career that includes world tours with groups like Wishbone Ash and the Leningrad Cowboys, and an extensive solo discography with 20 albums, expresses his excitement about working with Thomas Blug. On stage, their guitar harmonies merge into a captivating soundscape, carried by intense musical dialogues.

Thomas Blug, famously known as the "Stratking of Europe" (a title Fender awarded him in 2004 as Europe’s best Stratocaster player), has also released numerous solo albums and balances a prolific music career and his role as the founder of Bluguitar, a cutting-edge guitar amp company. Known for his work with his Thomas Blug Band, Blug Plays Hendrix and his power trio Rockanarchie, Thomas continues to push boundaries, showcasing his skill as one of Europe’s premier guitarists.

Martin Engelien, the creative force behind GO MUSIC concerts, is a well-established name in the German music scene as a bassist, producer, and musician. His long-standing collaborations with esteemed artists like Klaus Lage and Albert Mangelsdorff underscore his impressive versatility.
